‘My Own Private Garden’
Opening November 19th until mid - January 2026

"In today’s society, dominated by the logic of performance, visibility, and self-exploitation, the simple act of taking a photograph with a mobile phone seems to be motivated, conditioned, and mediated by the need for recognition: to show off, to optimize oneself. Likes. When one photographs with an artistic intention, reinterpreting and transforming a “reality,” a gesture is introduced that can escape, resist, this dominant logic.
Art, as a non-functional game, is a form of resistance. Using my mobile phone as a tool, I have immersed myself in the world of flowers, to communicate with them, to feel them, to touch them, to explore their shapes, textures, and colors, merging among stamens, petals, and pistils to inhabit them from a different, intimate perspective. By altering their form, their color, their focus, I wanted to break with automatic vision and interrupt the accelerated visual flow imposed by social media and the market.
I have stopped to look again, to pay attention, to create a new relationship with nature’s most powerful and yet fragile manifestation. With this reinterpretation, I have sought to reconnect with the immediate beauty that surrounds us, transforming it into “My Own Private Garden.” I have come so close to them that, still overwhelmed by their magic and beauty, I have unveiled their very essence in a slow, spontaneous, and aesthetic game, where there is a possibility of authenticity, of freedom".
