Keith Tyson

Ulverston, UK, 1969
After a past related to the shipyard, Tyson was educated in the arts and, later, earned an M.A. in Atlernative Practice. This education will completely determine the swinging nature of his entire work. Tyson explores diverse phenomena of the universe in which we are living in and the nature of human beings as well. In this almost instinctive search for interaction with his environment, he investigates concepts like the infinity or the limits. Unpredictability is a core aspect in his creative process but not as a strategy but as an inherent quality to the universe.
Keith Tyson was awarded with the Turner Prize in 2002. His artwork has been exhibited in the Centre Georges Pompidou or the Tate Modern amongst others. He has participated in diverse art biennales being Venice Biennale (2001) and Sao Paulo`s (2002) two of the most remarkable ones. His work can be found in very important collections such as the MOMA, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art or the Tate Gallery ones, just to mention some of them.
